A historical episode which sees the Trasimeno background of a bloody and violent battle in which the Oddi family, with some citizens of siena, fought with the Baglioni family and Della Corgna Family. The dispute was opened seven years before the fight, when the Oddi family were driven out from the castle of Perugia, and so, in 1495, they decided to recovered what belonged to them but didn’t thought to the ferocity of the Baglioni. This family forced them to flee the city with the boats over one’s shoulders. This fight will be recalled to be 160 contestants, which divided into four districts: historic center, center 2, San Donato and Orvieto. This event there is in Passignano from July 18 to 25. During the cultural event there will be many other historical allusions that will drag us in history at the turn of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. For example there is a women’s race where the women wander through the streets with pitchers on their heads from the public fountain at the castle gate. A demonstration that combine tradition, music, dance, spectacle and history in a masterly way with the commitment and dedication of the organizers.
