Melpignano the enormous crowds that, every year, participate at La Notte della Taranta. If we add the long experience of the organizers, the energy who each year enter into the circulation during the concert and the beauty of
Greece of Salento, we may get one of the most important musical events in Italy.
From 12th to 25th August, a series of exciting evenings will animate the nights of the Greece of Salento and the final concert of
August 27th will conclude the event. In this evening there will be many surprises and guests with international importance. Through the vibrant notes of their music, these artists will pay tribute to the tradition of Salento but they will make it with the new contaminations and melodic experiments. The tarantula will bite anybody it will meet on his way from Calimera in Carpignano Salentino until to Otranto and Galatina, in a flurry of music and dance to live all together the feelings of the tradition and the culture of
Salento. A musical event that, through past sonorities, becomes commemoration of a old liberation phenomenon as the
Tarantism.
