The ancestor of the accordion is the tcheng, this is a chinese instrument it dates back to 4500 years ago. A copy of this old instrument is kept in the museum of Castelfidardo. The accordion has been integral part of the story of this city, from nineteenth century, indeed, the production industrially of this instrument is very important. The festival has been planned to celebrate the love for this creations and this is the 36 th edition, from 20th to 25th September. An event founded on the love of music in its various expressions, cultures and genres. Thanks to the dedication of the studio ideazione eventi and of the proloco the event hosts artists of international importance as Vinicio Capossela and Alexander Dimitriev. The Salone degli Stemmi, the Auditorium San Francesco and the club the Onstage will be the environments that will host the various stages of the event. The old town is an unique setting in which to be delighted of the extraordinary musical offering to the people that want to take a part in the event. The competitions for accordion soloists and band of accordions are always richer and innovative and the introduction of the exhibition of Juniors is very important.
