Untitled document Ortezzano is a small village and Ascoli Piceno is its province. The its territory is cropped with trees fruit, olive trees and vines. Walking through the streets in the centre of the city one has the feeling that the time, here, is immobile, this because its inhabitants have a constant care toward the old village. They have demonstrated same love for the production of the nectar of the gods. Are the history and mythology that join this village to the production of the wine. The
Piceni, that in the past lived in this land, were a big producers of wine, this something has been demonstrated by archeological funerary finds of the V b.C. century .
Cupra was the goddess of fertility and protector of nature, she was honored during the pagan rite with tasty dish and wine. To pay to homage to their past the inhabitants organize a festival with jugglers , music, dance, gastronomy, and old mores that brighten up the small village. This is the fourteenth edition, the village will live three day(
16th 17th 18th September ) in honor of the wine, of the its history and tradition. In this day there’s a breath of convivial air in the street of the village.
