The Cetacean Sanctuary, also called Pelagos Sanctuary, a protected marine area included in the French territory, Monaco and Italy.In Italian territory, the Sanctuary for marine mammals was established in 1991 as a Marine Protected Area of internationally interest, and covers an area of 2,557,258 ha in the sea of Liguria, Sardinia and Tuscany.
