ZINGARO COAST SICILY
 
The Zingaro has an area of 1650 hectares and a coastline of about 7 km, formed by a rocky coast of Mesozoic limestone, interspersed with numerous coves and characterized by steep cliffs that a maximum height of 913 meters. (Monte Speziale) lead rapidly to the sea.
Pebbly coves all have sea views from the appearance of sunken niches lighter side of a wall Dolomite Scopello entering from the south side and going north are called the Cala Capreria (photo left), Cala del Varo (accessible via sea), Cala della Disa or Gypsy, Cala Beretta, Cala Marinella, Cala Torre dell'Uzzo whose calcareous substrate enhances the transparency of the water just like a tropical setting. And finally Tonnarella Uzzo.
