Sciacca is an Italian town of 40,929 inhabitants in the province of Agrigento in Sicily.
It is a city of sea, tourism and spa. Rich of monuments and churches, is known among others for its historic carnival.
Sciacca has a shape similar to an amphitheater that looks on the southern sea of Sicily, opposite the island of Pantelleria and Tunis, halfway between the ruins of Selinunte, Eraclea Minoa and Agrigento.
The center has risen to the forefront of the Sicilian and national news for the events related to the construction of a resort of RoccoForte Hotels, wich saw the plan for the costruction of the the hotel strongly hindered by the bureaucratic difficulties typical of some Italian regions.
The project was finally achieved and it is running, the town of Sciacca is now open for new prospects. A turistic system is yet to be developed but the city, as understood by the Rocco Forte Hotels, has great potential.
