renaissance prestigious

I visited yesterday the famous Villa Medici at Poggio a Caiano, not far from Florence. It is strategically located right in the middle of the small town of Poggio a Caiano.
The villa, designed by Giuliano da Sangallo around 1480 is very beautiful, and it is daily open externally and internally as well, where there are several rooms including the beautiful central hall with a vaulted ceiling and frescos by the great late renaissance artist Pontormo.
Outside is a beautiful park overlooking the hills of Florence.
Please note unfortunately pretty poor level of maintenance, and the fact that the main facade is now partly covered by restoration work, which unfortunately does not seem to get it shipped.
But nevertheless It remains one of our beautiful buildings well worth visiting.
