Many tourists reach it, the return from the usual tours of Rome. The total extent of the archaeological complex measuring about 120 hectares. The ancient villa, following the excavations carried out since the fifteenth century, has revealed many different mosaics. Other relics are preserved in museums around the world. Among the principal buildings of the Villa is the Imperial Palace, equipped with every comfort known at that time and some rooms dedicated to the preservation of books. Below is a villa built on a flume, by way of island; inevitable, then, the Piazza d'Oro, enriched by a large courtyard. Adriano did not even miss the spa, as evidenced by the remains found. The period in which it was constructed coincides with the phase Augustan empire, namely the first decades of the second century AD For a long time, the archaeological site was abandoned to itself, promoting the work of devastation of jackals.
