Mugello is a historical region of northern Tuscany, just north of Florence, corresponding roughly (although the name is sometimes extended to the municipalities of Dicomano, San Godenzo Firenzuola and Marradi) at the lower and middle basin of the river Sieve.
Appears as an open valley occupied by a strip of alluvial soil, hills and mountains. Agriculture is still practiced and there is growing cereals, potatoes, sugar beet, grapes, olives and fruit, as it is practiced the breeding of livestock.
A time zone poor and disadvantaged, has managed to revival through some structures such as the Mugello circuit, the tourist use of Lake of Bilancino and commercial centers such as the Outlet of Barberino.
